Arrival

Everything went pretty smooth getting to London. As soon as we arrived at Gatwick Airport, the 5 guys I traveled with and I got on a train from Gatwick Airport to Victoria Station which is 2 blocks from where we live. Where we live is called Vandon House and it is only about 200 yards from the Queen and Buckingham Palace. I checked it all out on the most confusing map I've ever read and we are in the heart of London. Pretty neat, but I could be wrong we could be in Moscow with my directional skills. When we got to Victoria Station, we didn't know what to do really, we had written instructions on how to get to the house, but they were just as confusing as the left side of the road drivers. I really am fascinated at the left hand driving and the wheels on the "passenger" side. Well after thirty "bloody" minutes of getting lost and dragging luggage around and not looking American at all we arrived at Vandon House where we got our room keys and unpacked. Unpacked and plopped down for about a 3 hour power nap. So far all I have done in London tourism wise is go on a tour through the neighborhoos on where to find groceries, medicine, etc. I have also taken a small tour of the London Tower area along the Thames River with a good view of the business skyline. Pretty neat, I saw and have posted the photo of the London City Hall where if my dad had the same job in London that he has in Norwalk, its where he would work. Amazing sites so far. I'll try to blog every other day.
